Apparel Job Pricing

Most shops undercharge because they price off the blank and the transfer and forget their own time. Put the real numbers in and this shows what the job actually costs you, and what to charge to keep the margin you meant to keep.

Per garment

Transfer cost works out to $0.75 per print. Not sure how many fit? The gang sheet builder counts it for you.
Other = tags, poly bags, thread, whatever else rides along per shirt.

Your time

Setup is art prep, ordering, pressing test pieces — spread across the whole run.

Markup

Margin is the share of the selling price you keep — a 50% margin means doubling your cost, not adding 50%.

Setup spreads thinner on bigger runs, so your cost per shirt drops. This is where volume discounts come from — and why tiny runs need to cost more, not less.
